Addisyn Joy Vugteveen arrived on Tuesday, February 26 at 10:53 at night. After a full day of teaching she decided it was time to come meet her big sister and her parents. She weighed 7lbs 110z and was 19 1/2 inches long. She has a ton of dark hair. She looks very much like her big sister but has her own look as well. We are so excited and looking forward to our days ahead. We are home now and adjusting to life with two little ones 20 months apart.
Kylynn is adjusting pretty well but we'll see how things go when Grandma and Grandpa leave and it's just mom and dad to give her attention.

Still Waiting...
At our ultra sound on Wednesday they told us baby was 7 1/2 pounds. She must not be ready yet to come meet us. I was dialted to 3 and 80% efaced. It is now Sunday and still no baby. I have an appointment tomorrow so I'm anxious to see where we're at then. I have had contractions all week and lots of cramping so I'm hoping things are making some changes. I think baby will be here early this week, I just hope she doesn't come on Friday, leap year. Everyone thinks I'm crazy but I would feel so bad that she only gets her birthday every 4 years, that is awful for a child. Jason says there isn't much I can do about it and I know he is right but I just would hate for that to happen.
Kylynn is finally feeling better and we finally were able to take her to church today. She cried for the first time when we left her today. I think it is because she hasn't been there in so many weeks and she has been very clingy to mom and Grandma this weekend. Should be interesting to see how she adjusts to the new baby.

Waiting for baby...
We are all feeling a lot better and doing much better than the last time I posted. Since then Jason also got the stomach flu so it made our way through the whole house and my aunt, and Jason's parents. So Kylynn got us all sick, fun fun!
I'm anxious for my ultra sound this Wednesday. When I went to the doctor last week the head was low and my cervix was changing but no dialation yet. Hopefully that will be different on Wednesday.
I have today and tomorrow off of work for Mid Winter break so we've been busy getting things ready for the babies arrival. Kylynn is now all moved into her room. I just have to get a few more things for baby and we should be all set.
I've been borrowing a Cricut machine from a parent at school this weekend and having fun with that. Kari and I went scrapbooking Friday night so I could get the baby book started and get caught up. I'm continuing to work at home to see how caught up I can get. I'm pretty much caught up with Kylynn and I'm in September in my book so a little behind. I think I'll get a little more done tonight so hopefully I can get into the fall months and close to Christmas so I won't feel too far behind.
Kylynn has her first haircut tomorrow so that should be fun, I'll post some pictures to show you how she did. I hope she does okay and sits well.
I'm off to do some relaxing and cuddling with Kylynn, have a great snowy Monday.

One sick Momma...
Okay, so I woke up this morning not feeling the greatest after having a good day with Kylynn yesterday. She drank a lot yesterday and even ate some toast. Things were going good, then I got sick. Fortunately it was a morning thing and I'm feeling much better. I've been able to keep down some jello and everything that I've drank. This is going to be a lay low kind of weekend for us to recoup, hopefully Jason doesn't get it. So much for saving days for baby I've used 3 days in the last few weeks due to funerals and being sick. I guess it is out of my control. I'll get some pictures up soon. It was nice to cuddle with my baby though-she was such a snuggler the last few days when she wasn't feeling well. Probably good for me to have that time with her before the baby comes. Hopefully the next post will be much happier and up beat.

One sick baby...
Kylynn has had the flu for the last 24 hours. I picked her up from my aunt's yesterday and she had gotten sick around 3:00 and she is still throwing up. Just when I think she is doing okay she gets sick again. It has not been fun reasoning with a 19 month old, practically impossible. She just doesn't understand why she can't have milk and she wants milk so bad. She has slept a lot so that is good. I will be home with her again tomorrow but we're praying for a snow day so I don't have to take another day. We're just trying to keep her hydrated, that's the most important thing. So pray for Kylynn that she gets better and that I am able to care for her as I am not feeling the best myself.

Another Snow Day!
At 5:00 this morning I received the great news we were closed for a snow day. Kylynn and I slept till just about 9 a.m. It was wonderful. She also took two two hour naps, heavenly for me. I didn't get anything done today but that is okay. We got her new bedroom painted this weekend and her bed is all set to go, minus the bed rail. We put her in on Monday night and I do believe she would have stayed there but I didn't want her to without the bed rail. We need to get her a night light and move her clock and she'll be all set. There is still more to do as far as decorating but that will come.

I have an ultra sound on February 20 to see how big baby girl #2 is and then we'll know if I will be induced or what the plan is. So we are getting ready for that date so that I will be mentally prepared. The last few weeks have been a little more painful for me. I don't know if it is because she is so heavy or sitting so low. I got a maternity belt from a coworker that I will be using tomorrow when I go back to school, if there isn't another snow day. That should help take some of the weight off.

Other exciting things happening around here, Kylynn is loving to eat with her silverware and sitting at her new table playing her puzzles. My cousins gave us their daughter's old table and Kylynn absolutely loves sitting at it. We were able to visit Trisha, Trevor, and Lauren a few weekends ago. I have attached some pictures of our recent visit and her bedroom.

Snow Day!!!
Yeah, our first snow day! It couldn't have come at a better time. Kylynn is fighting a terrible cold so it was nice to let her sleep in. She woke up at 8:15 and went back down for a nap at 9:45. Now I'm doing laundry and just finished making banana bread. I think I'll clean some bathrooms and straighten up the house. Then I'll be able to relax this afternoon. We had a great time in Traverse City visiting my parents and we got to see Trisha, Trevor, and Lauren. It is fun to watch the girls play together. I'll post some pictures later. We had a scare Friday night, my dad let the dogs out and they took off. Jason and my dad looked in the woods, mind you it was freezing cold, for an hour. They were down at a restaurant and so we did find them but it was scary. Needless to say, my dad did not let the dogs out the rest of the weekend.
We purchased a comforter, a pillow sham, and some toss pillows for Kylynn's new room. We also picked out paint so that should get done this week. Lot's to do before Baby comes. I have an ultra sound on February 20 and we will see how big baby girl is and then we'll decide what we are going to do. So I told Jason, we better be ready to go by February 20, bags packed!
Off to clean my husband's bathroom, doesn't that sound like fun. It's gotta be done though.
