We had a great night celebrating Addisyn's 4th Birthday.  Our family was all together, minus my brother and his family.  It was a fun time enjoying some good pizza, cake and family time.  She had a blast with her Tangled themed party.  Can't wait to see what God has in store for her this year!

Weekend preview

Here is a preview of our weekend.  It was such a busy weekend and I didn't get a nap this afternoon so the best I can do right now is a quick preview of the birthday girl's adventures and our special day today with Chloe's dedication.

Addisyn with her amazing Tangled birthday cake!

Just what she wanted, Rapunzell's wig!
Oh we laughed and laughed about this.
She was on cloud nine though!
 Happy Birthday Addisyn Joy!

My brother, his wife and my niece Chloe on Chloe's special day!

I can't help but feel fully blessed today.  God has been so faithful and good to our family.  Chloe was a premie at 35 weeks gestation and holding her today you would never know it.  She has adorable chunky thighs and is a healthy baby girl.  I'm so glad we got to share in her special day.  Addisyn Joy has blessed us for 4 amazing years and I can't wait to watch her continue to grow in her faith and love for Jesus.  She truly is a lover and I can't wait to see how He uses her!  Off to bed for me!

4 years ago today...

4 years ago today we were blessed with Addisyn Joy.  She is out little spit fire and life would be so dull without her.  We are so blessed to have her in our family and love every day with her.
She can be a handful but that is why we love her.  Addisyn Joy is our lover and she cares so much about others.  Addisyn is our queen of dress up!
Our little curly haired Addi is always having fun.  A smile on her face and goofy outfits are what she is all about.  We would have it no other way!

She loves her family and her friends and she tells them, us, all of the time.  Never fail, I'm having a bad day and Addisyn says, "you know what mom, I love you."  Addisyn Joy we love you so much and hope that you have a wonderful birthday and a terrific year being 4!

Celebrating Baby Boy Vugteveen!

We have a busy weekend ahead of us, so there will be a few posts over the next few days.  We have a birthday this weekend and a baptism in the family.  Tonight we got to celebrate the next baby boy Vugteveen that will be arriving in April.  Jana had her first baby shower tonight with the Vugteveen's and the Scholma's.  It was a nice shower with family.  They got lots of great things for the baby and we had a great time catching up with family.

Belly Boy

Tonight Easton was giving us a little belly show.  He loves to show off his big ol belly.  I love to hear him laugh when we blow on his belly too.
Here's when it began, not showing us much.
Here he was starting to have a good time.
He loves to have his belly blown on.  Oh the joys!

Happy Valentine's Day

Today was a day filled with love.  It started when I went in to wake Kylynn up for school today.  She sat right up and said, "Happy Valentine's Day Mom!"  Oh make my heart melt!  She was so excited about her first Valentine's Day party and handing out her homemade valentines.  When I picked them up tonight they came home for a few minutes before heading off to Grandma and Grandpa Vugteveen's for a party with their cousins.  The kids got to open their gifts from Grandma VanDyke.  Books, they love books!  Thanks Grandma!

They day got even better when Jason and I realized that we were going to be alone for the evening.  So we had to take advantage of our alone time and get some dinner just the two of us.  We headed over to Rush Creek Bistro at Sunnybrook Country Club.  Our meal was delicious and Jason has some of my leftovers for his lunch tomorrow.  Jason also treated me to a bunch of tulips and a remote for my camera, just what I wanted.  I hope and pray that you all enjoyed your day with those that you love.
Please continue to keep my friend Julie and her husband James in your prayers.  This week it will have been 6 months since Mikayla's passing and I just can't get them off my mind.  Today especially as Julie and Mikayla always loved dressing for the holidays and the parties.  Continue to lift them in prayer that they will see God in all of this.

Pinterest Idea

With only 13, now 14 members in Kylynn's class I wanted to make her valentine's this year.  I saw an idea on pinterest and just had to try it.  So we started with this picture below, that we took a few weeks ago.
Then we attached the picture to cardstock and punched holes above the fist and below the fist.  We added a sucker and we had a special Valentine.

She is so excited for her first Valentine's Day party.  We also made Mrs. VanderStelt's Valentine.  I'll have to take a picture of it and post it later.  I try to be crafty and I think they turned out pretty cute!

God's Child, Mason Dale

Today was such a joyous occasion!  19 months ago this didn't seem possible or even a thought and look where we are now.  Brian and Lindsey have an earthly child to hold in their arms, God is so good!  Today we celebrated the baptism of baby Mason.  What a special day it was.  Some of you follow Lindsey's blog and have followed them through their journey.  It is so good to see them happy again and with a healthy baby boy in their arms.  Here's some pictures of the special day.

Brad and Amanda Say "I Do"

Friday night we celebrated with Jason's cousin Amanda and her new Husband Brad.  It's the first family wedding we've had in a year and a half.  I think it's the first wedding we've been to in quite some time as well.  I was pretty excited about this wedding and Jason and I both purchased new outfits for our night out.  I was super excited to wear my new dress.  I even borrowed some jewelry to go with the dress.  Hannah watched the kids for us so she did my hair and my eye make-up for me.  It was a fun night out on the town for J and I.
