summer night with the kiddos

It was a beautiful night tonight and we sure did enjoy it.  Jason was away for work so the kids and I had some fun outside after dinner tonight.  They rode bikes, scooters, played with Easton's new rocket launcher and then headed to the back yard.  They were sitting on the steps so nice so I thought I'd take some pictures.
My three kiddos - Easton was sitting nice till I got the camera out

Splash Pad Fun

Last week we had some fun trying to beat the extreme temperatures and humid weather we were having.  Two days spent at the splash pad was a must.  The first day we went with my friend Julie and her three kids and the second day we went to Millenium Park with my Mother in Law, my two sister in laws and the cousins.  The kids had fun and I even spent some time in the the water to keep cool.

Fun Times - Easton actually had fun this time when we went

Easton's Birthday

Well, the celebrating ended tonight with Easton's actual birthday.  We celebrated with my family during Cherry Festival, last night with the Vugteveen's and today as our family.  Still can't believe he is 3!  We had a great day, he slept in, we played with some of his new toys this morning, he took a great nap, we went to get Kylynn from a play date and our suburban died.  Great!  No worries, Jason came to get us and we made it home, got our things together and headed out for birthday dinner.  He picked, the peanuts and rolls restaurant.  When we got home we opened his last 3 presents I saved for today and he played with some more toys, enjoyed another piece of cake and it was bed time.  I would say he had a great day!

My baby turns 3 today!

Amazing how time flies when you are having fun.  Today we will be celebrating our baby boy turning 3!  Easton Marc is 3!  Wow, seems like just yesterday I was lying on the table at my 20 week ultrasound with tears streaming down my eyes when I found out it was a boy!  Easton has been such a blessing to our family.  Life sure is different with a boy around.  He really has changed over this last year and become such a little man.  His personality is so contagious, every morning he is smiling when I get him out of bed.  Yes, he is still in his crib but he'll be there till we get his big boy bed all set.  He has no intentions of getting out so why not keep him in there.  I'm anxious to see how big he is, we will find out at his well child check up next week.  I will try to post after that.  He has a much larger vocabulary than he did last year, obviously but last year I was worried about his speech but he sure is talking now.  Easton always has a smile on his face but knows how to get his way with his two big sisters, screaming seems to do the trick.  We are so blessed to have you in our lives and can't wait to see what lies ahead for you big guy!
You made your appearance when you wanted to, a day late:)
We were thrilled you were healthy and here!

Two very proud big sisters!

loving your birthday cake,
