Ready for another great year!

Can't believe my big girl is off to 2nd grade tomorrow!  Life sure does go fast!  She is so excited {she did tell me tonight that she is a little nervous} but she will have a blast!  I know she will.  She has a male teacher and so thrilled about it.  Can't wait to see what God has in store for her this year!

Addisyn is off to 1st grade, all day every day!  WOW, that went fast.  My baby girl will be in school every day!  She is so excited and we are thrilled with Mrs. K as her teacher.  Looking forward to seeing what God has in store for my baby girl this year!

She got to pick out 5 books for her book box at open house tonight, she was so excited!

Off to bed, the wake up call will come way too early!

Ten on Thursday

Life has been crazy since being back from Colorado.  I had every intention of blogging about the trip but I have had training at work and we are trying to squeeze in every bit of fun as summer is winding down.  Here is what we have been up to.

Easton Marc 4 years old
1.  I took the kids pictures a few weeks back.  Since I have two summer birthdays I do their pics together and you sure can't leave one of them out.  Her half birthday is coming up so we just go that route.  I was very pleased with how they turned out.  Not always the funnest thing when we are in the process but they look good.  Happy Mamma!

God sure did bless me!

Addisyn Joy 6 1/2 years old *almost

2.  It was raining and really warm a day last week so the girls had a little fun in their
rain boots and their cute umbrellas.  That is the kind of rain we like.

3.  The kids participated in the library summer reading program and get a free half day at a local gymnastics camp.  It was a win win for this family, all three kids had a blast and mom got a free afternoon all to herself.

4.  We had a play date where each girl got to pick a friend.  Addisyn invited Paige and Kylynn invited Evie.  Easton loved it and tagged along for most of the fun.  We even had a special visitor.  Mrs. Bosch walked over for the lemonade stand with her dog Bella.  They loved it!

5.  I had heard about the street performers in Holland for the last few years and have always wanted to go.  I went a few weeks ago with a friend and said I had to come back with the kids.  They loved it.  We went to get out of the house while Dad was away in the UP.  Fun times!  And of course we had to end the evening with ice cream from Kilwins!

Fun times.

6.  On the way home from Holland we stopped by the new Unity Christian High School.  This will some day be the kids high school so I have been taking pictures of them by it for future use.  Some day they will walk through the doors of the high school, for now we will enjoy their littleness!

7.  I had been wanting to pick strawberries the last few summers and it never works out.  My mom also told me that is way tougher than blueberries.  So I thought I would try it out.  The kids loved it.  We picked for less than an hour and got 4.5 pounds of berries.  Funny thing is my kids don't even eat blueberries, just their mamma.  It was really hot so next summer we'll go earlier.
Addisyn loved picking, she was always far away from me getting as many as she could

Lots of berries!

7.  Another item on my list this summer was the Farmers Market.  Last summer I hit up the Fulton Street market and loved it so I wanted to bring the kids.  They loved it and want to go back.  Good thing, I heard they are open till Christmas!  We will for sure go back later this fall.

8.  We had a night at the Tigers thanks to WM.  Fun night, bad game but we still had fun!

9.  We had a fun time away as a couple.  We rented a place on Torch Lake and used my in laws boat.  After a little bit of issues we got it running and enjoyed Torch Lake, Clam Lake, the Grass River and Lake Bellaire all before an enjoyable dinner at Dockside.

The hubby snoozing at the sand bar on Torch, no sun so we just chilled and did some people watching.  We then headed to Shorts Brewery so Jason could enjoy some beer.  Had dinner at Toonies because Lulu's was closed on Mondays, ugh, we were really looking forward to that dinner.  Oh well, maybe next time.

Our cabin, super cute and small but it did the job!

10.  I celebrated my birthday yesterday '35' feels like I just turned 35.  The hubby and kids got me this Realtree Under Armor sweatshirt.  Not sure I am keeping it, it is not black, it is hunter green and that is a leaf on the pink.  Kylynn said I wanted an Under Armor sweatshirt but this wasn't quite the color combo I had in mind.  We had tacos at home as Jason and I did dinner out the last few nights with our little get away and then took the kids putt putt golfing and for ice cream.  Kids were free for the night, we used library rewards and birthday bowling rewards:)  A fun night for everyone!
