Princess of Poop
Addisyn Joy is officially our princess of poop. Tonight while watching the children's parade at the cherry festival she was sitting in the stroller eating some fishy crackers. Her favorite thing to do, eat. My mom and I were both standing there and she decided to stand up. I grabbed her and then my mom said "NO!" She had pooped and it exploded all over her stroller. It was on me, in her shoe, everywhere. Thankfully we were by a river so Jason decided to go dip her in to clean her off a little. Needless to say that was the end of the parade for us. I don't know if it's Traverse City or just the fact that she poops 3-4 times a day and sometimes it just leaks. The last time we were in TC she decided to explode all over the high chair at Olive Garden. I guess I need to be prepared with gloves, bags, and tons of wipes from now on, oh and probably new shoes and clothes. These days shall pass. I will some day down the road look back on this and laugh, I can laugh now but it sucks!

Home again, not for long
We're home again after our Holland camping trip. Terrible weather this year, not fun at all. No beach for us. Well, we went out on Saturday for a few hours, I think I actualy got some sun through the haze. Not the greatest weather but the girls had fun. But were they dirty, oh filthy! Kylynn and Addisyn both loved digging in the dirt, not my kinda fun but hey, they stayed occupied while we sat and watched in our lounge chairs with sweatshirts on and wrapped in blankets.

We celebrated Kylynn's 3rd birthday while we were out there, she had so much fun. We went to Pronto Pups for her birthday dinner and then we had a birthday party for her with the whole Vugteveen family, minus Uncle Brandon and Aunt Jana, on Friday night. She had an awesome Ariel cake done by one of my former student's moms. It was great, check out the picture below.
I am now doing more laundry and packing for TC. We have a family picture and lots of fun things planned for the week, hopefully the beach is included. I had a nice tan beginning at Hungry Horse I'd like to keep it up.
Speaking of Brandon and Jana, they are engaged and planning a May or June wedding next year, congrats to them! We are so excited to have Jana a part of our family and look forward to getting to know her more.
I'll post some pictures but them I'm back to packin and foldin laundry.

Hungry Horse is over for another year...
We survived! This year will go down in the books, pretty memorable. We survived two nights of terrible storms. Thursday night was worst for me, I just layed there and prayed for safety. Addisyn let out one peep and I plugged her and they both slept through it, thank the Lord. The girls had a great time, swimming in the pools, playing in the sandbox, the merry-go-round and much more. Kylynn did great, Addisyn ended up the packinplay, the first night was awful, don't ever try to put a 16 month old in the bottom bunk with a bed rail, it was like a little jungle gym for her. After that night we were smooth sailing.
Now the laundry has begun and it's time to pack for another week of camping. We head out Sunday to Holland State Park for the week, that will be fun! The beach this time, will be interesting with my sand lover Addisyn.
The girls are napping so I'm updating FB and my blog with photos from our camping experience. The house was also painted while I was away so we have to put it back together, tons to do, and I'm on the computer. I already put my stuff back, the knick knacks and photos, Jason will have to hang the stuff tonight.
We had Kylynn's 3 year, yes 3 year, pictures taken today. My friend Erin did them and I think they are going to turn out great! We had fun with it. I got a sitter for Addi and I think that really helped. I can't believe my little girl is turning 3 next week. All she wants is her princess kitchen. I'm pretty excited to give it to her. She also wants an ariel birthday cake so that is in the process of being ordered from a parent at school. Should be a fun time. Back to more laundry and pickin up the house.

Baby Tibbe has ARRIVED!!!
It's a boy! Yes, I have my first nephew. Last night we went up to the hospital to meet Cole Richard Tibbe, Jason and Courtney's new addition. He weighed in at 7 lbs 14 oz and was 21 inches long. He joined us around 9:45 a.m. yesterday. A healthy baby boy to add to the Vugteveen clan. Kylynn enjoyed holding him.

Will we ever have summer weather? I head out to Hungry Horse next week so I'm hoping for some warm weather. It looks like the weekend will be better, maybe I can get some sun tomorrow afternoon while the girls nap. We've been enjoying sleeping in and having fun together. The girls are so much fun to be around, most of the time. Kylynn is at that stage where she wants to do everything herself, on her terms. When I want to help if we are in a hurry she doesn't want my help but then if I want her to do something she needs my help. I don't think I'll ever figure her out.

We headed to the ENT today for Addisyn, no luck on getting tubes. The next ear infection we will let him know and then they will do tubes. Big waste of my time today! The girls did great, despite the fact that Addisyn had pulled the wipes out of the diaper bag at the hospital last night and she sat through the entire appointment with a poopy diaper. Afterwards we headed to Target to purchase some wipes and do a little shopping, and of course change the diaper.
My Addisyn - love this girl!

Vacation
So vacation officially started for me last Friday. I am really looking forward to fun times this summer with my girls. No big adventures yet, just sleeping in and having fun. Yesterday Kylynn was up at 7:45 but today she slept till 9:00, yeah!!!!
I am happy to announce that I have a job for the fall, I will be teaching 6th grade at Jackson Park Intermediate School. This is really exciting for me, as I would have preferred 5th grade I think I will enjoy 6th grade and am looking forward to a challenge. I really wanted to be at this building and I think it will be a ton of fun working with all 5th and 6th grade teachers. My classroom is pretty much packed, thanks to my wonderful sister. Just need to finish up and move it out. Unfortunately I have to move it all home to move it all back in August but at least I have a job.
I'll post some new pictures soon. Enjoy the spring, chilly weather.

late nights with Kari
Okay, so I'm sitting in my sister's bed with her right now on her laptop. We're having a great time taking some FB quizes. It's always fun to laugh with your sister. It has been a great weekend of sister time. We have done a ton of scrapbooking and shared a lot of laughs.
The girls and I had a great time in TC this weekend, but it will be nice to get back home to get ready for the week. 3 more days with the students and the last day for work is the day I pick my job, fun fun. Anyway, I'll know after Friday where I'll be or if I'll be jobless. I'll leave you with a picture of how I feel about the whole thing.
Addisyn was enjoying some ice cream at Moomers, it wasn't coming fast enough for her.

Happy Memorial Day
Okay, 3 posts in one night, crazy I know. I just thought I would explain the new choice of backgrounds. I like to be patriotic and I was looking for a new background since disappeared. Anywhoo, I stumbled across the cute patriotic background and felt as though I should post about it as well.
Thank you to all of those who are serving our country in the states and abroad. I pray for their strength and for their families. What an amazing sacrifice they have made to fight for the freedoms we enjoy, and take for granted, every day.
Thank you to our vets, we are able to enjoy what we have because of you.
