10+5 on Tuesday, Christmas Break Style

1. The girls got nerf guns from Old Papa way back in the beginning of December, so my sister said to bring them up to TC and they would have nerf gun wars.  Well, guess who forgot the guns, yup, me!  Oh well, they made do.  A little fighting but they had fun and made some memories!
 2.  A month or so ago Addisyn and Easton collided and her two front teeth were knocked out of place. After going to the dentist to make sure permanent teeth were not harmed the dentist said we just needed to wait for them to fall out.  He assured my hubby that they would not turn black, thank you. We, I was, were just waiting for them to fall out.  She lost one pretty quickly and the second one was being stubborn.  I told her to wiggle it every day.  I wanted her to have her 2 front teeth gone so I could say she wanted her 2 front teeth for Christmas.  Well, Uncle Dustin did the job after she earned a few bucks from Grandma and Aunt Kari.  She is so cute with her two front teeth missing.

3.  Day after Christmas shopping with my mom and sis.  Kylynn tagged along this year and she did really well.  I love this tradition, hunting for the after Christmas sales.

4.  The kids wanted to see Big Hero 6 but it was no longer playing in TC at the theater so we settled for second best, bowling with the family.  It was a blast!  The kids had a great time, well, except for Kylynn who was so concerned with her score and couldn't just have fun.  She'll learn.

After bowling we had some pizza with the family and then the kids played some arcade games.  They were in heaven!  It was actually a fun time, they had $20 to spend and it went quite far, we were really happy about that.  Love spending time together as a family and making memories.

5.  Can't go to TC without seeing our TC friends, even if it is only for a few hours.  The kids always play well together, well, most of  the time.  Easton was a little bummed this time as the kids were in to Kylynn's new Taylor Swift cd and having a dance party and he wanted to play.  Oh the joys of kids.  We are so glad we got to see them, even if it was just for a short visit.  I love being able to catch up with Trish!

6.  Date night!  Jay and I got to get away for a date night, free sitters, Grandma and Grandpa!  We enjoyed a fabulous meal at a new restaurant, Franklin.  I highly recommend it!  We will be back in the summer time as they have an upstairs outdoor patio, can't wait!

7.  The girls got BB guns for Christmas so dad took them shooting on his day off.  They had a blast, mom stayed home and got a ton done!
My little hunters

8.  Jason's grandpa has been going down hill these last few months so we have been trying to soak up some time with him.  He will be 95 on the 18th of this month.  My kiddos love visiting with him and we, Jason and I, love being able to hear about the past and get his take on what we're up to.  A wonderful man!

Kylynn recited her bible memory for him Luke 2: 1- 20

Easton getting some advice from Old Papa

9.  We had our NYE plans canceled because my brother's family was sick and recovering so we decided to stay away.  The girls and I went to Annie with a friend of mine and her kids.  It was a super cute movie!  We enjoyed dessert afterwards at TGIFridays.

10.  These three played so well together over break, I am so blessed!
The kids love dressing up and she was playing Santa, how cute.  I am so blessed to have three kiddos who love to be together and have great imaginations to keep themselves entertained.

11.  Family game night!  We played Eye Found It, lots of fun, except he gets a little uptight.  Gotta work on that one.  Overall great time making memories together.
After Family Game Night Easton decided to sit in the laundry basket to watch tv.  He was pretty comfortable in there.  But the next thing we know he climbed out and fell asleep on the carpet.  No routine over break so lots of missed naps.  This boy needs his naps.  He loves his sleep.

12.  Speaking of Making Memories, I have been wanting to make a memory jar for the last few years.  My sis did one a few years ago and I just never did it.  Well, I did it this year.  We are going to write down memories we make throughout the year and then share them on New Years Day 2016.  A couple of rules, you have to keep it a secret and make sure you write the date on the slip of paper.  So far so good!  The kids are pretty excited about this.  I can't wait to see what 2015 holds for our family.

13.  Back in the workout routine and feeling great about it.  I slacked off for most of the fall and now it is time to get back at it.  I am trying to drop a few pounds and just tone up again.  Spring break is definitely a huge incentive but I just want to try to maintain a healthy body.  I enjoy my workout time and feel great when I am done.  It is a big time stress reliever for me as well.  Beachbody has changed my life, if you want to know more about it let me know.

14.  As always we do something fun with the Vugteveen cousins over break, this year we tried something different.  We headed to Catch Air, the kids loved it!  It is very open and lots of fun things for the kids to play on and keep busy with.  We had lunch and enjoyed tons of fun with the cousins.

14.  While the girls still had school before Christmas I took Easton to Sprinkles, a new doughnut shop in town.  They were really bummed so I told them we would go, well better fulfill my promise.  So the last day we went.  Saturday morning was lazy, we were all still in our jammies, except Kylynn and headed there.  Glad no one saw us!  Addisyn's outfit cracked me up.  She had a nightie on so I told her to put on pants, she looks funny but that is her.  Their doughnuts are great!  More memories made!

15.  Break didn't end quite how I would have planned.  With all of the sicknesses going around we had stayed pretty healthy.  I spoke too soon, poor Addisyn got the flu bug and got sick at 5:30 Saturday night.  Thankfully she was done being sick sick by the next morning but really didn't eat anything all day Sunday.  So I headed in to make sub plans and she still wasn't too strong Sunday night so my break was extended one more day.  She was much better the next morning, ate some saltines, drank her pedialite and rested.  I think we are ready to head back to school now.
