10 on Tuesday

1.  I went to take Kylynn's picture yesterday and my DSLR camera wouldn't work.  I tried everything, turned it off, took the battery out, the memory card out and I couldn't get it to take a picture.  Jason looked at it and then I called Noorman Camera, where I bought it.  They couldn't do anything for me over the phone so after birthday dinner we trucked out to Noorman to try to have them fix it.  Well, they were closed, they close at 7 and we were there at 7:45.  Oops, hubby was not too thrilled but I swear they were open till 8 or 9 when I have gone out there before.  So the hubby took it today and it WORKED!  Yes, you read that right, it worked.  Thank goodness, not sure what the deal was but they cleaned it all up and it works.  I was thinking it was going to have to be sent in for service and I wouldn't have it for Cherry Fest or worst yet our Colorado trip coming up.  So relieved!

2.  Last Monday this showed up on Facebook, I about died!  My parents old neighbor was at my sister's wedding, their son now goes to Michigan State and he is always commenting on my Facebook about State and how he dislikes Michigan.  I can't believe he got away with this.  Pretty good one Nick!

3.  Last week Kylynn had to get a filling for a cavity so I asked my sis in law if she would watch the other two so I didn't have to keep them entertained in the waiting room.  They had a blast with Austin and I even got some more packing in the trailer done before we headed out camping.  Thanks again Jana!

4.  Totally out of order but my photo uploading is acting up tonight.  The kids had a blast drawing on the newlyweds, Aunt Kari's, car.  She texted us in Canada that someone finally honked at them and they were totally confused as to why, then they realized they had honk, just married all over their car.

5.  My parents are the best, they put up with us when we stay with them and are so good to us.  Looking forward to 10 days with them over Cherry Festival, hope they can handle us!  Or should I say hope we will still be welcomed after this long of a visit.
6.  After flying our kites last weekend out at Muskegon State Park, we were loading them into the suburban when we saw this red car drive into the sand.  There are strips of sand between the parking spots.  This brilliant person thought it was just sand over the parking lot and got stuck.  We watched them try to push the car out and Jason said there is no way they are getting that car out.  So he headed over to check out where he could hook the suburban up to the car.  With little to no effort our big ole beast pulled the car right out.  It was a good lesson for out kids.  One of them commented about how we could have let them call a tow truck or how we didn't need to help.  We told them that was the Christian thing to do, even though we got a good chuckle out of watching them try to push the car out.  Glad we were there to help them out and save them a buck or two.

7.  A little family selfie before the beach last week, oh how I LOVE THEM!

8.  The last few years I have been wanting to do strawberry jam and it always happens right when I am the busiest in June, weddings, camping, or the Dells.  So this year I was bound and determined.  Well, hasn't happened yet but the strawberries are bought so I'm hoping to get up tomorrow morning and get it done, the kids want to help.  Hoping I can get a batch or two done before they get up.  I haven't had strawberry jam for awhile now and feel bad taking from my mother in law and my mom all of  the time, I sure do miss it!

9.  Easton is loving the tag a long bike!  He thinks he is hot stuff.  We need to get another attachment so that I can have it on my bike.  It would be nice to be able to take bike rides with the kids when Jason is not home.  I'm sure my handy hubby will find one for me on Ebay his favorite website!

10.  I have been busy getting rid of kids toys, clothes, house goods, you name it so that we can clean house.  I really should have had a garage sale this spring but didn't get it done on time.  I still have so much to get rid of but I run out of patience.  I have been using the online garage sale sites and craigs list to get rid of stuff.  A few years ago I read a blog post by a high school friend of mine who is a financial advisor and he talked about using that money for Christmas.  So that is what we have done the last few years.  It is my way of saving and I am happy to say we are well on our way to having Christmas already paid for this year.  And I have a ton to sell yet!
