Happy Birthday and Happy Father's Day

Tonight we celebrated my nephew Cole's 4 birthday and Father's Day with the hubby's family.  The kids always love getting together with the cousins.  They enjoyed a boat ride on papa's boat and just being together.  Good food and good times!

Easton choked on a chip at dinner and Jason and I were inside.  Thankful my brother in law Brandon was outside and was able to save him for us!  Very scary, not a fun thing for poor Easton.

Kindergarten Program

Last Friday we had the privilige to watch 4 classes of kindergartners sing their little hearts out for God.  It was a beautiful program and it totally confirmed why pay all that money to HCS.  It is so worth it when you hear your 6 year old praising her God in school.  What a blessing we have here in the USA to be able to worship as we please.  But this also means this school year is coming to a close.  Kylynn has grown so much and is becoming such a sweet young lady.  She truly has a love for learning and for Jesus that shines through her smile and her actions.  She has had a great year and we will be so sad to say goodbye to yet another wonderful HCS teacher.  Mrs. Havert has been fantastic and we will miss her so much.

Someone wasn't too thrilled with the program,
it was right during his nap time so he snuggled on my lap and fell asleep.
Grandma gladly took him so that I could take pictures.

Our first Moomer's of the year!

We love Moomers Ice Cream!  It is definitely a summer favorite of our family!  After running the half I definitely could indulge in a little frozen treat.  The smell of the waffle cones was so strong when we stepped inside I was ready for my treat.
Easton enjoyed his Blue Moon
Best part of the night, he chose to sit by Aunt Kari, which meant she was on clean up duty!

Too bad dad and grandpa were in the UP getting ready for the deer.  They sure did miss a great treat!

I did it, again

On December 1 I took the plunge again!  I signed up for one of the most popular half marathons in the state, the Bayshore Half Marathon!  Lots of training and time commitments and the day finally arrived.  I love this race but this year I was running it alone.  My running buddy from last year was doing the FULL marathon, not for me!  I also had a goal in mind, run it in 2 hours.  Well, that didn't happen but I was consistent, I ran it in 2.06:59, same as last year.  I was a little bummed as I really thought I pushed myself.  Oh well, I am proud that I finished it and there is always next year!

I surprised the family each time so they didn't get the greatest pictures.
My dad is running along with me here in the middle.

Thanks Dad and Mom for helping the hubby with the kids and coming out to support me.

I owe the biggest thanks to the hubby for letting me train,
being gone on the weekends for 2 hours running wasn't always easy but he let me go.

My friend Becky, we started together and kept each other warm while we waited.
It was a much colder race this year.

Addisyn's Last Days of Preschool

I can't believe I have another one through preschool.  Addisyn finished her school year on Friday, so exciting!  Now I have a Kindergartner!  She is pretty excited about heading to Kindergarten.  She had a wonderful year with both Mrs. Boomsma and Mrs. Cole.  Mrs. Van was an added bonus!  So excited that I was able to bring her to her last day of Preschool!

Critter Barn with the Kindergartners!

Friday I got to head to the farm with my Kindergartner!  Kylynn's class went to the Critter Barn and I was able to chaperone.  I am so glad that I was able to go along and enjoy the day with her.  We had a great time.  The sun was shining and no rain!  I even learned a thing or two.  She had fun with her friends and enjoyed seeing all of the animals.  I say seeing as she didn't do too much holding or touching.  That is okay though, not going to force her when she is scared.  Like her momma she didn't want to go in by the cats, she said she doesn't like cats.  A great day for a field trip!  One she had been looking forward to for a long time!
