Shutterfly

I was told by my sister that I could blog about Shutterfly and then receive 50 free Christmas cards so I said, what the heck. So here I have to blog about them. I have used them in the past for our Christmas cards. I think the year I was pregnant for Addisyn and we put just Kylynn in front of our tree we ordered them from Shutterfly. Here's the link for the photo cards http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery
This year I have looked at many sites to find the perfect card to send out. I toyed with the idea of sending out a card with just the 3 kids on it but I loved our family picture at the Christmas Tree Farm so I thought that would make a great card. I'm so excited about the card I designed so I have to get this done so I can send it out.
Another great idea for that perfect someone is to get them a personalized calendar, which you can get at Shutterfly. http://wwww.shutterfly.com/calendars
Last year my sis in law did this for my mother in law and it is so cute, the kids love looking at it when she changes it each month. Mom, I'd get you one but you don't display your calendar anywhere, and I have no place to display a calendar at. Some day I can do one for myself.
One more great idea is the coasters. Last year I got my parents a set of coasters and they are awesome. You can upload a photo and they are so crystal clear. I love seeing them sitting on my parents table. I just need to update them and get some of Easton. http://www.shutterfly.com/photo-gifts/coasters

Head over to shutterfly and do some shopping. It's a great way to do a personal gift for that special someone in your life.

sleepy boy

Easton absolutely loves the jump-a-roo that we borrowed from J's sister. He works himself right out and falls asleep in it quite often. Depending on what we are doing we sometimes let him take a cat nap in there but most of the time we pull him out when he starts nodding off and put him to bed. I just think he looks so cute in it.
He is such a blessing to our family. Easton is a happy boy, we just love watching him smile and giggle at the site of us now. He loves his sisters and daddy gets big smiles out of him. We need to start practicing the sitting up, he can do this but likes to bed over pretty far.
More on the big guy soon, he's almost 5 months, which means another photo shoot soon.

My Crazy Girls

Pretending they are getting married. I guess they married Grandpa VanDyke yesterday. Quite the imaginations they have. They also learned some dance moves this weekend from their babysitters. It's pretty easy to get a smile on your face at our house. They never cease to amaze me and make me laugh. It is such good medicine lately as work has been stressful and just being a mom can also be stressful.

decorating with the girls

I love the fact that the girls are getting older and wanting to help with the decorations. The thing that they were most excited about was hanging ornaments on the tree. They helped hang their stockings, hang some ornaments and they'll help me with the nativity scene tomorrow. They enjoyed hanging their ornaments and it was fun for me to remind them of which ones were theirs. I love pulling out the ornaments from the years past and reminisce about how old they were at previous Christmas'. I love our tree and I especially love the ornaments that are special to the kids. Some of my favorite ornaments are the ones where there are photos in the ornaments. I'm anxious to take Easton's picture in front of the tree for his new ornament that came in the mail yesterday. Enjoy a few pictures we took while decorating, more to do yet. It's a slow process this year. And the stockings were hung with careKylynn puts our star on the tree, our tradition

Love the giggles

Today when we got home the girls ran around in the drive way and giggled at the 1st snowfall. While they were on their way to preschool today they had to stop and make snowballs without any mittens. I just love seeing snow through a child's eyes.

almost there...

Our big guy has been trying to roll for the last week and a half. It's pretty cute, he gets on his side and gets stuck on his elbow. We try to encourage him to keep going and then he rolls back. Yesterday we went to the doctor and he weighs 18 lbs 2 oz and is 26 inches long. He is in the 90th percentile for both height and weight. Doc is happy with his growth. Easton is doing great, he is happy and such a content little guy. I finally feel like I'm figuring him out.

Some other things he's up to:

-plays with the toys on his play mat

-reaches for his frog toy on his car seat

-grabs at things on his jump-a-roo

-drooling a ton

-had some major blow outs lately, can't wait for those to be done

-went on his first Christmas tree hunt

-starting to outgrow his 6 month clothes

-still in size 3 diapers

-starting to like baths

-loves watching his sisters

-recognizes voices and turns to hear them

We are just loving him and can't imagine life without him. I'm so excited to spend our first Christmas as a family of 5!
