We're hitting the TERRIBLE TWOS!

Here's a few shots of Kylynn over the last week. She enjoys eating her yogurt by herself, she makes a mess as you can see. The other picture is after we came in from taking a walk. She was not happy as you can see.

Addisyn is getting older, almost 3 months, she likes the bumbo seat. We have only used it for short periods of time because she isn't totally strong enough yet. She does enjoy it though.

I head back to work next Tuesday. That should be interesting as Addisyn isn't taking a bottle the best. Good thing it is for only 4 days, one whole day and the rest of the week I can bring her to school for the afternoons.

Life with the girls...

I had a great Mother's Day with my two girls. We had both families over to our house for Mother's Day, Kylynn really enjoyed having both Grandparents and her aunts and uncles around. Kylynn is now wearing her hair in a pony tail, it is so adorable, you might be able to see it in the pictures below. I hope everyone is enjoying the spring weather. Tonight we took our big walk and Daddy treated us to ice cream. I didn't know we were going for ice cream so I didn't have the camera, I was bummed I missed Kylynn's first ice cream cone. I'm sure there will be more opportunities. One more interesting thing happening in the Vugteveen home, Remi is in heat. The poor puppy is in her crate all day cause there is no where to go. We tried doggy diapers but they are too small, even the extra larges. Poor Remi, hopefully this doesn't last too much longer.
Happy Mother's Day, my two girls and me:)
Kylynn decided it would be fun to sit in Gauge's crate. I had to take a picture.
Kylynn will actually hold her sister now for pictures, Addisyn doesn't look too comfortable but it's only for a minute. Kylynn loves her babies and her doggy Gauge. He loves her too.

Busy, Busy, Busy

It seems as though time is flying by without me even noticing it. I can't believe it is already May and a week is already done in May. Wow, time flies when you're having fun. We have been pretty busy lately with Graduations, Open Houses, play dates, Senior Dinners, and much more. Here are a few pictures of our fun times we've been having. Kylynn has become quite the ham and Addisyn is smiling all of the time, it is so much fun to watch her change. She doesn't seem to be adding much weight but she is sure changing.

Leah and Kylynn, I thought this was adorable.

Then our little peanut and her smiles. (She's smiling at her Daddy)

Our little peanut...

Addisyn had her 2 month check-up yesterday and she weighed 10lbs 5 oz and was 22 1/2 inches long. She was in the 25th percentile for weight and the 50th percentile for height. The doctor said she needs to gain some more weight so hopefully we can get her eating some more. She also has another ear infection, this time in the other ear, her right ear. Poor little peanut, she must have gotten her mom's ears. You would never know that she had an ear infection she has been sleeping through the night and not fussy at all. The last three days she has slept till 7 or 7:30 in the morning, she goes down between 9 and 10 so that has been awesome!

We also celebrated Kari's graduation this past weekend from GVSU. Congratulations Kari!

I love: my God and my family
I ache: when my girls are in pain
I care: about too much, I can't just let things be
I always: smile
I am not: a fan of nuts in brownies or cookies

Spring is HERE!

Oh we are loving this weather! Kylynn just absolutely loves taking walks to the park, playing outside with the dogs and playing on the porch. We have moved a lot of her toys, big ones, out on the 3 season porch and it has been so much fun for her. She just talks away out there and has a good ole time. Today I watched my niece Cambrey while my Mother-in-law had a dentist appointment and took some pictures of the girls. We then took a walk with the girls when she got back. We only went around the block and Kylynn cried when we had to go home. I assured her we would go for a longer walk when Daddy got home. Enjoy the weather, I sure am:)
Kylynn loves her cousin Cambrey.
Kylynn told Grandma that Cambrey needed to swing.
Kylynn thought she needed to push Cambrey, cute smile there Cambrey.
In the wagon, Kylynn is sitting in the bottom.

I feel so blessed...

The girls have been so much fun lately. Addisyn is awake a little more during the day and we get to see her beautiful blue eyes. They are changing. I think they are going to be a darker blue than Kylynn's. And Kylynn, what can I say, she is becoming quite the character with a fantastic personality. Sorry, I have to brag, she is so much fun to be around and just makes us laugh. Today I brought home an Elmo potty chair, she loves it. She wanted to try it out so Jason took her diaper off and she sat on it for awhile, got up and then sat back down. Didn't do anything but it's a start.
Addisyn has an ear infection, poor little thing. You'd never know though. I took her to the doctor on Friday because she was still congested and I wanted to make sure everything was okay. She weighed 9 lbs 6 ounces. But we found out she has an ear infection. I hope this is not the beginning of lots of these for her as I had them terribly growing up. Other than that she is doing great. She slept through the night the last two nights, yeah!!! 10 - 6 and 9 - 6 so I was extremely excited about that.

Here are a few shots of our girls, spring has sprung and we have enjoyed going to the park, taking walks, and going to the zoo all in the last week. Kylynn loves being outside so I'm anxious for better weather so I can bring Addisyn out more. Enjoy the spring weather!
