1. We continued the tradition this year with attending the pumpkin walk in Allendale. The kids loved it and so did we. There are so many creative and cute pumpkins. We timed it just right this year when we arrived there wasn't a line but as soon as we started the walk there was a line behind us. It was just getting dark and the perfect temperature. Another great pumpkin walk!
love these kiddos
Love all of their creative efforts
2. Love taking pics of my kiddos all dressed up for church.
Easton was a little crazy, gotta love him.
3. I love that my kiddos love books. I especially love it when they read together, one happy mamma!
4. Took this chic to the doc last week to try to figure out what is going on with her tummy. No fun leaving your little girl crying in the morning. She has complained of stomach aches but no other side effects. We go to the doc again next week to try to figure out some answers. Say a little prayer for us if you can that we can figure out what is going on so she can enjoy her days and not be in pain.
5. Papa took Easton to his field trip last week to FMG. They had a great time and Easton couldn't wait to spend the time with Papa. Funny thing, they went to Mr. Burger after for lunch, so says Easton, then Easton got back to daycare and also ate his lunch. No wonder he didn't eat any dinner that night, he had two lunches! Crazy kid! So glad they could spend this time together. So thankful my father in law is now retired and can help us out in this fun way.
6. We said good bye last week to this goof ball! My grandpa was reunited with the love of his life, his daughters and his granddaughter. It all happened pretty fast and makes me really sad that no more pics like the one above will be taken. We sure did enjoy our time we had with him. The kids also enjoyed seeing Old Papa as we called him at Arnie's or New Beginnings, his favorite restaurant. Even if he did stand us up on occasion. He was failing with the memory and the last time we met him we got to the restaurant and he wasn't there. He was still sitting at home, so we waited for him to get ready and head our way. Boy am I glad we had that last breakfast with him now. I am feeling really bad though because his birthday was just a month ago and I didn't call him, I sent a card, but life got busy that night and I completely forgot to. Would have been nice to have that one last conversation with him.
My Grandpa was very proud of his navy days. We heard many stories and now I wish I would have paid more attention to the details. He was on a ship near Japan and the ship was actually hit by enemy planes and a bomb and the bomb did not detonate. Pretty cool I think, especially cause he survived and if it would have gone off none of us would be here.
This was when I ran for Cherry Queen back in 99, my grandparents were always so supportive of everything I did. I was blessed to spend more time with them when I headed off to college. I would often meet them at their church and have dinner with them on different occasions. Sitting in their church for the funeral you can't help but remember Grandma's voice singing those hymns. Now they are together, pain free and remembering everything:) Sure will miss my breakfast dates but know that they are together and happy. Some day we will meet again. Can't wait for that reunion.
7. My little helper this past Saturday. He was up nice and early and wanted to help with making breakfast. Love his smile and his willingness to crack the eggs. Mind you he wouldn't touch them once they started to ooze out, he told me that it was my job. Hoping my little guy likes to be in the kitchen as much as his daddy does. Grooming him to be a great husband some day!
8. The girls had Grandparents day at school last week, this was a picture I got from Addisyn's teacher. We are so blessed to have both grandparents able to attend. The girls loved it and I think the grandparents did too. They were able to spend time in their classrooms, have lunch together and then attend a special chapel, God is Good!
9. Addisyn and the rest of the 1st graders at HCS performed at the foundation dinner this past Monday. She is on the second to the top row on the left. So fun watching them praise our Heavenly Father! We love HCS! Bummed we didn't attend the dinner, Jason Hansen spoke and I hear it was quite a testimony.
10. This chic loves chicken legs. She told her dad tonight she was having both of them from our rotisserie chicken. That didn't happen but I thought this was a fun pic. She had just said, as she took a bite, this is awesome! Sure do love this chic!
