My baby girl turns 5!

Addisyn Joy you are such a blessing and a gift from God!  We could not even begin to imagine life without you.  February 26 was a sad day for me for many years, I lost my closest cousin Stephanie in a car accident in 1999 and when Addisyn was born on that day it made it a happy day!  As I write this blog I am filled with emotion as I so wish she was here to see what life has become for me, she would have loved my kids and I know we would have been close, raising our children together.  I know we will be reunited again someday and I can't help but think a little bit of her is in our sweet Addi.  Steph was always happy and fun to be around and that is our Addi.  Addisyn Joy is so caring and compassionate!  Always looking out for her brother and sister.  She shares everything!  I can not wait to see what God has in store for you.  We get to meet with your teacher this week and learn how your preschool year is going.  Earlier in the year we received a note home about how sweet you are and how your faith and spirit are so alive.  I pray that your dad and I can continue to raise you to be so kind spirited and loving and living for our God with such a joy that you express!

Celebrating Addi

Today we celebrated Addisyn's birthday with the Vugteveen's.  I can't believe she is turning 5 already!  My baby girl will be off to Kindergarten next year.  I know everyone always says this but it really does seem like just yesterday that we were adding another girl to our family and here it is 5 years later.  She is such a joy in our lives, the spice of life, our Addi girl.

It was a fun afternoon, thank you to family for making her day!  Still can't believe she will be 5, that means I am getting older, two kids over 5, I remember when all three were under the age of 5!

10 on Tuesday

I've been slacking on the blog front so I thought I would take care of it with this post as we have been pretty busy lately.
1.  I have enjoyed some snowdays with the kiddos, two of my own and today the kids had one.

2.  Playing in the snow has been a must lately as we have been getting tons of snow, followed by some hot chocoloate.  It has been nice to bundle the kids up and let them go outside all by themselves, I'm not a huge fan of the cold weather.  The girls play well together and keep an eye on Easton for me.  

3.  The girls have been begging to build a snowman so last week they finally got the chance, with the help from daddy.

4.  We headed out to Charlies Dump a few Saturdays ago.  The kids had been wanting to go sledding so after soccer we went right there to try to beat the rush.  I felt terrible after I made Easton go down the hill with me and we bailed.  He didn't fair to well.  A bloody lip and a scraped up face, poor guy.  The girls had fun though, we bought a snow tube and that seems to be the way to go.

7.  Our nights can get kinda rowdy around here with 3 kiddos, here's a snapshot of how crazy we get.

8.  For Valentine's Day we didn't do much but I bought the girls some new hooded towels and Easton got another gun, as his other one was broken.

9. I am on Mid-Winter break so yesterday we had some company for the day.  The kids had fun playing with their cousin Chloe.  We went for lunch to Panera too, another bonus to having a day off.

10.  My obsession with Groopdealz continues, this past week I think I got 2 or three more packages in the mail.  Can't wait for summer to wear my new maxi dress and all of the fun necklaces I bought!
