A trip to Moelker's

The Lord has blessed us with 3 beautiful children!

We are enjoying our apples that we purchased, I made apple crisp yesterday and I have a half a bushel to use up yet. I'm looking for a freezer recipe so that I can make up bags of apple crisp and then use them this winter. Anyone got any good easy ones?

15 month check-up and a new trick
Today we had Easton's 15 month check-up and he still is a big boy, like I needed them to tell me that:) He was in the 90th percentile for both height and weight. He weighed 28 lbs 4 oz, gained almost 2 lbs in the last 3 months, and we added walking to the routine. He measured 32 1/2 inches, he grew an inch and a half in the last 3 months. Our little boy isn't going to be little much longer! It was a great check-up, except for his sisters throwing fits about their flu shots! Doc was not concerned about his lack of vocabulary. He's the third child, he's a boy and it's all good. He understands what we are saying and he follows commands. I can't wait for him to talk though. I know I worried a ton about Kylynn and my mom always reminds me, you thought she'd never talk and now she doesn't stop:) But I just can't wait for him to communicate more with me and to hear his little voice.
What else Easton is up to:
-you have 7 teeth all the way in and you are getting all 4 of your molars (you are taking it like a champ)
-you have 7 teeth all the way in and you are getting all 4 of your molars (you are taking it like a champ)
-you love to be outside and cry when we come inside
-we can always find you with something in your hands, you love to carry things around with you
-you love your milk and drink at least 3 or 4 cups a day
-sleep comes easy for you, you sleep through the night and still take 2 good naps
-you have learned to climb up the kitchen chairs and you also like to climb your sisters bunk bed ladder
-you like to brush your teeth, or suck the toothpaste
-you now like to bug your sisters, pulling their hair is fun
-you are all boy and we love it!

Our little school girl

Kylynn Joy is loving school! At night she likes to write, write, and write. She walks around writing numbers, letters and playing school. I also hear her practicing her letters and sounds and it makes me so happy to know that she is enjoying school. I love it! She's doing great at school and can't wait for her conference here next month to see how she is doing.

15 months

Easton Marc we love you so much! Life would be so boring without you. It has been so much fun watching you these last 15 months and I look forward to learning more about you as you grow and change. Love ya bubba!
Meeting Chloe for the First Time
We're all healthy at the Vugteveen home so we made our trip down to Lansing today to meet baby Chloe. The girls had been waiting all week and couldn't wait to meet her and hold her. She is a peanut, just a little thing she is. I just couldn't get enough of her today. We didn't see much of her eyes, she slept the entire time, good baby! It was so good to finally meet her and see my brother and Katie. I have a feeling we'll be making a few more trips down to Lansing, as long as we are healthy.

Not my favorite thing in the world
PLAYDOUGH is NOT my favorite thing, but the kids LOVE it! And so does Easton. I had to keep a close eye on him to make sure he didn't eat it. He did try it at one point but spit it right back out. It was a beautiful afternoon and the girls had been talking about playing playdough lately so I thought it would be perfect outside on the deck and not on my carpet. So we spent an hour or so on the deck playing playdough.
this is pretty cool stuff
I love this stuff mom

Never too late for a trip to the zoo
Today was a beautiful day for a trip to the zoo. I think no I know this is the latest we've ever been to the zoo. My parents decided to come down last minute yesterday to see the kiddos. It was such a nice little break for me though. They helped with bed time routine last night, thanks guys, and with breakfast this morning. It's the simple things in life that matter most. We were going to head to the pumpkin patch but my parents were interested in going to John Ball Zoo. They hadn't been in years so they thought it would be fun to go. The girls were pretty excited to take Grandma and Grandpa to the zoo and show them around.
