Mrs. Vugteveen

Yesterday was my first official day at my new school. I walked up to the door of my new classroom and there was a name plate above the door with my name on it. MRS. VUGTEVEEN, it made me feel so welcomed and happy. In my 8 years of teaching this is the first time I have a name plate above my door. I feel pretty special. We're off to a good start. Now today I'm going to be there with my mom and sister setting up my new room. We'll see how it goes on Monday with my new 8th graders. Say a little prayer for me. If I can make it through next week I think I can do it!

Cra - Z - Art

Kylynn has been begging me to play paint. Aunt Courtney got her a paint set for Christmas and she has been so eager to use it. I finally was in the mood to deal with it tonight. I know that sounds terrible but #1. Addisyn needs to be sleeping, #2. I didn't have anything else to do, and #3. I guess I could deal with the mess. So we painted tonight, she was one happy little camper and was sad when it was time to put them away. She made me wash the brushes right away and get it ready to use again later. I'm so looking forward to more painting!
