{Colorado} 10 on Tuesday

1.  Our first stop just past Denver!  Happy to be in Colorado!
After we stopped here we hit a traffic back up so it took
us a bit longer to get to our destination.

2.  We attended a rodeo, the kids first rodeo, they loved it!
This was the big push to get out to Fraser for the Rodeo Saturday night.
We made it and so glad we did!

3.  We have had many attempts at the jump pictures, I'm sure you will be seeing more!

In these pics it looks like Addisyn has it down pat!

4.  Checking out Winter Park, an easy day just being tourists.

5.  Our big hike, Monarch Lake.  It was 3.9 miles but took us 2 1/2 hours.
Glad we did it but it was a bit rough on the kids.  We were ready to be done.

6.  What is vacation without ice cream?

7.  After our big hike and checking out Grand Lake we headed to the Hot Sulfur springs.
The kids loved it and it was a nice way to end the day, relaxing in a hot pool.

The girls loved the slide, well, Addisyn did more than Kylynn.

8.  Thankful for little naps in the car

9.  The sunrise, picture doesn't do it justice.

Easton was being noisy just after I took the sunrise pic so I went to get him out of bed.  He sat on my lap for a minute and then went over to the couch.  I looked over a minute later and he had fallen back to sleep.

9.  A little road trip bingo action going on.  Anything to pass the time in the car.  Cause you know you just can't look out the window and look for animals and at the beautiful mountains, "that would be boring".
10.  Quite possibly my favorite pic so far!  I just snapped this on our way back from a hike today. Jason and Addisyn were waiting for us.  I looked up, quick to took the pic and a second later she turned around.  I love the unposed, moment I caught between a dad and his little girl.

A day on Muskegon River

On Saturday we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon on the Muskegon River.  My hubby really enjoys taking his parents boat up to Hardy Dam, Hardy Pond.  We go from one end to the other, the dam all the way up to where the river goes under 131.  It is a fun day that we look forward to.  We packed lunch so we found a spot to park for awhile and allowed the kids to swim.  Then we rode around a little more and had some ice cream from River Ridge.  We had a great afternoon with Grandpa and Grandma.

Kylynn had to bring her hat along

Easton took a little bit of a snooze before I picked him up.
I was afraid he was going to fall off of the seat as we were riding along.

Bummed Easton's eyes are funny here, they had so much fun swimming around the boat

Easton was jumping off the back, it was only like a foot of water or maybe two

My baby girl love her sleep, she came back to me and said she wanted to lay down and sleep and that is just want she did.  I tried waking her to swim with the kids and she didn't want to.  She loves her sleep.

10 on Tuesday

 1.  My kids love to dress up, They are always dressing up and playing so well together.  I caught them being super readers last week and then a few days later they asked me to get out the costume tub, so we got out the poodle skirt and the angel costume.  Never a dull moment with them.

2.  We headed to the library last week to get their half way rewards for the summer reading program from our local library.  They were able to stick tickets in the tub to enter for a chance to win a prize when this is all over.  The also got some coupons for free drinks at bigby, ice cream at culvers, a 1/2 day camp at horizon gymnastics, and a few other goodies.  We just need to keep reading so we can finish the reading logs and go back for the final prizes.  They have done a pretty good job reading each day, especially Kylynn who is now reading chapter books and reads on her own in bed each night.

puzzles are fun at the library too

of course you can't go to the library without getting more books

3. This is a usual event at our house, we finish dinner and the two babies hop on
dad's lap for family devotional time.  There will be a day where they won't want
to sit on our laps anymore so we will cherish it for now.

4.  Kylynn has been busy practicing jump rope.  She is working really hard to get better.
Each day she is improving.  She even got dad and mom to jump rope, sorry no pics the hubby said ABSOLUTELY not.  I wouldn't have minded but you know no one ever takes mom's picture.

5. We met my grandpa for breakfast last week, he still is a goof ball, giving Easton bunny ears.
The kids enjoyed our breakfast and time with their great grandpa.  Next time we will call to make sure
he is on his way, he almost forgot about us.

6. The kids did some water color painting last week, my little artists.  Not a favorite of mine but they love it so I oblige and try to be a good mom.  Kept them busy for a little while.

7.  Kylynn had a special afternoon with Grandma last week for her birthday.  Grandma took the kids out for their birthdays this year and Kylynn chose to go get a pedicure, or her nails painted.  They also had pizza for lunch and some sweet yo's for a treat.  She had a great time with Grandma

8.  I have been busy selling our old stuff and cleaning house.  I made our first deposit last week,
pretty cool that Christmas will be paid for before fall even gets here.  The best part is I still have a tons to sell.  I am proud of myself cause this is something that I can do and save money and not touch it.

9.  We had a pool date last week with the cousins.  We were supposed to go out there for Easton's birthday but that was one of the coldest days this summer so we postponed the date.  We had a perfect weather day!

10.  The boys were at a tractor show so the girls got to play too.  That meant Sweet Yo's for dinner.  I have been wanting to check this place out so we finally did.  Kylynn and I really enjoyed our special treat, Addisyn didn't care for hers as much.  She got strawberry and didn't end up liking it.
