Wagner Falls

We decided to take a little day trip to Munising while staying at the cabin.  Jason thought the kids would enjoy the little hike to Wagner Falls.  It was a short little hike that was perfect for the kiddos.  We did this on our way to the Pictured Rocks Boat Tour.

Telling her sister all about her day

She loved her day and said she absolutely loves Mrs. B.  I am thrilled that she is so excited about school.  One of the things she was excited about was that her teacher read the book that she just got from her Grandma, The Night Before First Grade.  She said they read lots of books.  Her lunch is packed and she is ready for day two!  We'll see how three in a row goes!  I bet she'll be tired.

Open House for the girls

Both of the girls had Open House tonight at HCS to meet their teachers, find their lockers, their desk or table, and tour their classrooms.  They were pretty excited.

Addisyn has a visit tomorrow that I will take her on, her first day will be Tuesday.  I can't believe I have another one that will be going to school all day.  Wow!  Time sure does fly.  They are super excited about school, not sure I am super excited about the mornings.  Praying they go well.  Kylynn already put in her request for her breakfast, cinnamon and sugar toast.
I wanted to get this up here on the blog for my mom to see how they are doing and will hopefully go back and finish our UP trip over the next few days, no guarantees as it is back to work for me.  We enjoyed some other day adventures over the last week and a half as well so I am hoping to blog about them as well.  We'll see.  Praying for a good school year for both of the girls, their classmates, teachers and myself and all of my teacher friends.  Summer 2013 sure did fly!  We made some great memories though!  Here's to a wonderful 2013/2014 school year!

A beautiful sunset

I told Jason we hadn't seen a sunset all summer.  We had a date night back at the beginning of June but hadn't really watched a sunset since.  So we made sure we caught the sunset at the cabin.  The cabin is down Stonington Peninsula so we headed to the end of the peninsula where the light house is.  We were able to watch an amazing sunset, however our children were not very well behaved and I didn't get all of the pictures I wanted.  Oh well, I saw the sunset and it was great!

A quick UP trip with our family

We decided to head to the UP for a long weekend with the kiddos.  Jason has a bear license this year and needed to get the bear baiting started.  So up we went.  We headed up Friday afternoon to his family's deer hunting cabin.  The kids were super excited because we were bringing the four wheeler for them to ride.
All set to go!

Love this bridge!  Amazing!
