Happy Birthday Bubba!

Happy Birthday Trevor!
We were able to celebrate his birthday this past weekend with my family.  My kids love their Uncle Trevor, as you can see by the picture below.  He is the best uncle.  He always makes time to play with my kids.  The girls love dancing with their Uncle Trevor.  There aren't many uncles out there that would do what he does.  He wears crowns, dances to the nutcracker and loves to tickle and have fun.
The best thing has been watching my little brother as a daddy.  He is a wonderful daddy.  Chloe is very lucky to have such a fun daddy.
Happy Birthday Trev!  Hope you had a fantastic day celebrating the great individual you are.  We love you!

I did it!

A year ago when I was up in TC for Memorial Day Weekend visiting my family while my hubby was in the UP I had some friends run in the BayShore Marathon and the half marathon.  I thought, maybe I could do that.  I had just completed my first 10K and felt like I could do more than that.  So I was trying to find myself someone to do it with me.  About the same time as I was thinking about it so was Julie.  So we signed up together my parents actually signed us up for it and thank goodness, as it was filled within hours.  And the training began.  I was off to a great start and was up to running 7 miles on the weekends for my long runs when I ran into a speedbump, kind of a big speed bump.  I injured my IT band.  Well, that, I thought, was the end of my training but I was able to go through some physical therapy and work myself back up to where I needed to be.  I was quite happy with my finish, 2 hours and 6 minutes.  Now I need to do it again to beat 2 hours:)  We had a great morning, couldn't have asked for a better race.

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

First things first, I'm loving the fact that I only have 4 more school days with students, one of which will be spent at Great America!  I'm so looking forward to summer with my kiddos.

I love watching Easton run around outside.
Yesterday he was chasing his daddy to get his cozy coupe back, pretty cute!
Love the fact that I got 45 pages scrapbooked this past weekend.
That much closer to getting caught up.  Also, love these pictures!
Love the fact that my iris' are blooming this year.
They did not bloom last year.
Enjoyed some of my favorite dessert tonight, ice cream.
Can't wait for Moomer's on Saturday night!
Loving the fact that my race is Saturday!
I'm so excited, yet so nervous.

Blessed to be their mom!

God is so good!  It is such a blessing to be their mom!

Never thought I could love someone so much!  But these three have taught me so much about love!  Life is never dull with them and I am grateful for that.  Being a mom is the best job ever!
But I do want to think about those who are no longer earthly mother's or those who wish to be a mom.  Please keep my friend Julie in your prayers as this is her first mother's day without Mikayala.  we all miss her so much but I can't imagine the emotions Julie has today as she goes through her first mother's day with out her precious daughter.  I also always think of my Aunt Debbie who lost Stephanie 13 years ago.  You can't take motherhood away from someone.  I also know that there are many out there who wish they could be a mom but are struggling.  I pray for those woman today and ask the Lord to bless them as he has blessed my sister-in-law.  Lindsey is celebrating her first mother's day today with Mason - poor Linds has to work though.  We are so happy for you Lindsey.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all of the Mother's out there and I pray that you will be richly blessed!

Mother's Day with our families

Last weekend we celebrated Mother's Day with my family as it didn't work to get together this weekend for my brother.  We were all together, minus Katie and she was missed.  It was nice to have Trev and Chloe with us.  We don't get to see them that often.  We enjoyed a nice lunch and then some play time.  The kids loved playing with Chloe, they were all over her.

Last night we got together with Jason's family.  It is always a great time.  The kids have so much fun running around with their cousins Uncle Brandon.  We were out at Courtney's so it was nice for the kids to be able to run around and play outside.

Bon fire time

Saturday night Jason told the girls we could have a bon fire in the back yard, so that is just what we did.  The girls had a blast and I think Easton did too.  My parents were in town so they were there with us.  We started by roasting our brats and hot dogs over the fire.  After dinner we sat around the fire for a little bit before it got too chilly, then Grandma had to head inside.  The kids enjoyed their smores and then it was bath time.  It was a great first fire of the season.  Can't wait for summer when we can enjoy many more fun times around the fire as a family.

Our little stick gopher.  She loved going to look for sticks for our fire.
