Children's Museum Tradition

This past Wednesday we trooped off to the Grand Rapids Children's Museum. This has become a tradition for me and the kiddos. We meet up with my friend Lori and her daughter Kiley, who is 1 week older than Kylynn. We had a great time. Lori and I chatted, the kids played, and played and played. Addisyn and Easton

Busy, busy, busy

Life has not slowed down here at the Vugteveen home. I feel like school just began and now it is November. I honestly feel like I don't have a routine down yet. Between Jason hunting, GOT and just finishing Parent Teacher Conferences, I feel like I haven't had a normal week. I'm anxious for things to slow down a little so I can enjoy my sweet kiddos. Here they are, enjoy them:) Kylynn looks like she is holding easton down but really he didn't want to be in the picture at all, he was tryint to slide out. It's the best I could get for now. This is a tough age to photograph. I remember it vividly from my girls. He's on the go, no pictures for him. Hope you enjoyed your weekend. We had a busy one but a calmer week so that will be good. A massage is in my future, I am so excited! It is much needed after the crazy busy week last week.

another celebration

We celebrated Baby H again this morning with a great Baby Shower at my mother-in-laws. Good food and great times. I'll let the pictures tell the story of the day. Happy Momma to be!

Super cute centerpiece

it was an owl theme, very cute

Before we started opening gifts the girls were quite quiet downstairs. They wrapped up some gifts for Aunt Linney. Addisyn was quite proud of her gift. So cute!

looking up at her, it was quite adorable

A beautiful Saturday and a beautiful shower. Can't wait to meet Baby H in a few weeks. I'm so curious as to what they are having. I have a feeling it is a boy, we'll wait and see.

A Little Miracle... in the making

Last Friday night we celebrated the upcoming arrival of Baby Helmholdt. Many of you follow my sister in law Lindsey's blog and have prayed and encouraged them in their journey. It was very exciting to celebrate with her and see the excitement on her face. I was in charge of paper products and when I came across these at Hobby Lobby I just knew they were perfect. We are waiting for A Little Miracle!

Lindsey was glowing and it was so good to see her happy and enjoying herself. It was a very enjoyable evening.

never before

Never had one fall asleep in the high chair before. Could it be that he didn't get his morning nap. I saw him dozing off and thought, no he won't fall asleep. He woke up once, grabbed some more bread and then fell back to sleep. Just to make you all feel better, I took the picture and then cleaned him off and put him to bed. What a sweetie though!

No princesses this year...

Last year I told the girls, no more princesses for halloween next year. They were good and chose different costumes. I wanted Addisyn to be Shirley Temple but we had a hard time finding a costume. So she settled on being a lady bug and I made my first costume ever. It was a success, well almost. She looked adorable, I thought, but the antenna were a little heavy and the skirt was falling off by the end of the night. Kylynn was excited to be a fifties girl and loved her poodle skirt. Easton was the third one to be a lion, I think we're done with that costume now. We headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Vugteveen's for dinner with their cousins and then off they went. They walked quite a ways and got tons of candy. The girls had a great time and Easton made it through most of the night. Daddy headed back early with him, it was quite cold. Enjoy our night through pictures. Happy Halloween!

Addisyn Joy, our lady bug, she had so much fun and really enjoyed getting lots of candy.

My fifties girl all decked out in her poodle skirt, she walked the entire way and had a blast!

Trick or Treating

My little lion was so content just riding along watching the kids trick or treat.

The girls had such a good time trick-or-treating. They really got into it and loved yelling TRICK OR TREAT!

Cole got booted from his wagon by the girls. He was such a cute bumblebee.
