Kylynn Joy

Our happy family

-hard to believe there are 5 of us now

Kylynn is such a joy in our lives and we could not imagine her not in our family. She makes us laugh and never ceases to amaze us. Some of her favorites, Barbies, singing, dancing, Disney Channel, playing with her sister and brother, tickling Easton, coloring, doing any type of art activity, helping mom.

She is definitely a diva and thinks she is quite the fashionista. Clothes are very important to her and she likes to help even her mommy get dressed. She has comments quite often on what I wear. She is full of compliments, what a sweetie she is. I love watching her grow into the little lady that she has become and continues to become. She makes us smile and keeps us on our toes. Off to Pre-K in the fall, she can't wait.

Happy 5th Birthday

Kylynn Joy!

Enjoy your day, we love you so much!

Happy Father's and Grandfather's Day

Happy Father's Day to all of the Daddy's out there. I'm so blessed to have a wonderful husband who is a fantastic Daddy to my children. He brings such joy to their lives and he gives them what I can not, and for that I am blessed that God has made us a team in this parenting thing.

I also want to say Happy Father's day to my dad a wonderful dad and an even better Grandpa, don't take that the wrong way dad. He has been so terrific to my children and is such a hands on Grandpa. I have always been a daddy's girl because I think we are so much alike and I am so thankful for his guideance and teaching over my lifetime, but it has been so much fun watching him with my children.

What Easton's up to...

Over the last month we have seen our little guy turn into a boy! He is a true boy. Loves to pound, bang, or whatever he can to make lots of noise. He is all over the place and loving to explore. His favorite thing to do is play peek-a-boo and we love to hear his giggles. He even played peek-a-boo with aunt Kari this week on skype, it was very cute and we made her day. You can seek the dimples on his cheeks in this picture as he giggles away at his crazy aunt Kari.

As I was prepping for the garage sale I brought up and cleaned off some of the girls' toys and now Easton has a few more toys to keep him occupied. He absolutely loves playing on the porch and we do too. It's usually nice and cool out there and it's kid world. By that I mean all of the toys are out there and they don't have to be all over my house. Easton loves to escape out to the porch and has found some favorites, the slide and the piano.

He discovered the girls princess piano this week and loves to make his own music for all to hear. You can see the picture is blurry as he is banging on it. Oh the joys of a boy!

Look at that smile, and the wet t-shirt. He has been a drooling machine lately. I think he's teething again. Another favorite toy is his race track, he even like to sit in it now. Maybe he thinks he'll get spun around like the cars.

We absolutely LOVE having our little guy and watching him grow and change. He'll be 11 months this week and I can not even believe it. What a joy he is to our family and we just couldn't imagine life without him.

Weekend recap...

What a week it has been. Never thought a garage sale would be so much work. I guess it was worth it in the end. I had tons of girl clothes to get rid of and all of our baby stuff, swing, exersaucer, bath tub, play mat and even all of Easton's clothes. So all last week I spent hours bringing tub after tub upstairs to price and then out to the garage it went. It took a few days to set it all up and then I needed more tables. Never knew how much stuff we had until it was all out in the garage. A big THANK YOU to my sister for coming down to help me. She helped me finish setting up on Thursday and then she was my right hand woman for the weekend. She helped with the kiddos on Friday and helped me sort and straighten throughout the weekend. I honestly don't know what I would have done without her, wouldn't have had a garage sale probably:) I think that it was pretty successful. Friday was slow due to the weather but Saturday was busier. Looks like Christmas this year will be good, off to the bank I go. After a long day of garage saleing we headed up the road to the ice cream shop to treat ourselves for our hard work. I had Milky Way Overload, it was delicious, chocolate ice cream with caramel swirls and chunks of chocolate. Once again I shared with a certain someone, he sure enjoyed it. I had to be careful not to give him the small chunks of chocolate, he kinda coughed on one of them once. So little bites of chocolate ice cream he would get. Mama he would say when he wanted more, oh so cute.

The beginning of summer

Summer has begun for me:) I am so excited to be home with the kiddos. We started vacation off with a walk around the block. Many more walks will be coming I am sure of it. We had a great weekend. We got to see Uncle Trevor and Aunt Katie and her cute baby bump. We saw most of the Vugteveen family and enjoyed some time at the lake. Summer is going to be fantastic! Today Easton and I had some bonding time as the girls headed to the beach with Grandma Vugteveen. There is so much to look forward to this summer and I can't wait to spend every day with my kids enjoying tons of fun things around town. Once we get the garage sale over with I'll be that much more ready for summer! Addisyn and Easton on our walk
Kylynn loves riding her bike

Time for the garden again...

Kylynn planted her bean plant from school in the garden, it grew right before our eyes in a pot on the counter and she replanted it in the garden last week with Daddy. We planted strawberries this year again, we actually have some already. So excited! Here's a shot of the rest of the garden as well. Beans, broccoli, brussel sprouts, tomatoes, peppers, and raspberries. Can't wait!

And the gardener himself, tending to his crops!
