Happy Birthday Addisyn Joy

My baby girl turned 3 today! I can't believe she is already three. It seems like just yesterday J and I were on our way to the hospital leaving Kylynn at home with Grandma and Grandpa. Here we are 3 years later with three little kiddos. We were so worried about adding two and Addisyn Joy was such a good baby and has been such a joy in our lives.
Our 'wild child' we like to call her, she is full of spunk and zest for life. She is a hoot, always something funny to say. We love how straight forward she is and how she tells it like it is. Life would definitely not be the same without our Addi Joy.

tub time

I have always wanted a seat for the tub to put a baby in, a sitting baby. Never did I find what I wanted. A friend of mine was scrap booking a few months ago and I saw a photo of her daughter in a seat and asked her about it, she's letting me borrow it! Yippee! Now I can give Easton a bath, well let me rephrase that, Jason can give all of the kids a bath at one time.
I love tub pictures but I wasn't very successful tonight. They all looked but not getting smiles. Hopefully I'll get some good ones. Happy tubing!

a much needed weekend away

I returned yesterday from a wonderful scrap booking weekend with some awesome ladies. I headed out to Into The Woods Retreat on Friday and got there about 4:30 and returned home yesterday about 2:00. There were 12 of us and boy did we have a good time. Tons of laughs and good story telling. The food was delicious the service was awesome and the memories were the best. I was able to get 50 pages scrap booked, so excited! Easton's book is caught up, Addisyn is up to her 2nd birthday (she turns 3 this week), Kylynn's book is to Christmas 2009 and I didn't touch my book or the family book which is at fall of 2009.
While I was there I had a full body massage that was one of the best I've ever had and a pedicure. So I took full advantage or Mommy time and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Sorry no pictures, didn't bring my camera. I'm saving my money for a point and shoot camera, that way I have it all of the time for times like this past weekend.
We were once again hit with some snow and ice this time so I was able to stay home with the kiddos today, which was much needed. I enjoyed my day with them snuggling and reading books. The best part about today though was that I went to WW and lost 2 lbs. I was so scared that I wouldn't do well as I didn't workout Friday or Saturday and didn't eat the greatest. But I didn't snack a ton so I think that is what saved me. So I'm one happy girl today, well rested, rejuvenated and ready for the week ahead.

$25 later

Last night while I was trying to get caught up on easton's book I caught my necklace, my brand new Christmas present, on my cricut machine. I was so upset. I went to the jeweler today and they don't have any in stock so I had to order a new one. Not only is it costing me $25 but I have to wait 2 weeks. I absolutely love my necklace and can't imagine not wearing it for 2 weeks, tear, tear. I guess I have to get over it!

I have a 7 month old!

(had to put him in the crib cause he was reaching forward on his chair
and was about to end up on the floor)

Wow, really, it just seems like he was 6 months old. Time is flying by. My baby boy won't be a baby before I know it. Here's a little bit of what he's been up to.

-battling a cold right now, I hear him coughing at night and feel so terrible for him. Humidifier is on and I suck him out but what else can I do?

-he graduated from the infant carrier and is in a big boy seat

-started eating some dinner meals, not so sure about them yet

-loves to roll around the room, place him on the floor with some toys and turn around and he's down and rolling

-loves to splash in the bath

-sleeping from 7-6 every night

-eating some 8 oz bottles but mostly 6 oz bottles, doesn't really need to get much bigger

-starting to be a momma's boy, which I love!

-you love watching your sisters, they can definitely keep you entertained
Easton we absolutely love having you in our family and can not imagine life without you. I know I say that every month as you get older but you bring so much joy to our lives. This weekend will be Mommys first time away from you over night and it will be two nights. Hopefully you are good to your daddy. Mommy defintely needs a getaway!

Happy Heart Day

The day started out with gifts from mom and dad for the girls. They each got some valentine's silly bands, jelly shoes and Addisyn got a puzzle and Kylynn got some rhyming dominoes. Then it was off to school for Kylynn. Addisyn, Easton and I came home, E had a bottle and took a short nap while I folded laundry and watched a movie with Addisyn. We picked up Kylynn and headed to meijer to get something for J, yup that's me, waiting till the last minute to get something for him. Not really but the campus store in the mall closed so I was out of luck on Saturday. We found him some good Michigan stuff at Meijer though. Then through the McDonald's drive through for lunch and off to Grandma Vugteveen's. She watched the kids so I could get a
massage. I fell in the church parking lot last week Sunday and my neck has been hurting ever since. It felt so good to get it rubbed out today. After that it was off to the dentist for Kylynn and I. She had to get her cavity filled. She did awesome! We were in and out of there within 30 minutes, you read that right, less than 30 minutes, she did outstanding! Then we went back to get Addi and Easton and home we went. The kids had a great day and were also spoiled by Grandma Vugteveen with some goodies. Now for picture overload, enjoy!

Round one

Last night we celebrated Addisyn's 3rd birthday with J's family. She turns 3 in two weeks, oh my goodness that does not seem possible. My Addi will be three! She sure is growing up though. She loves dress up right now and has to put a dress on as soon as we get home, "open my shress up please" is what I hear very often. She has also become very independent and loves to do things all by herself. Oh how I love my Addisyn and her little phrases. I think I need to get some video of her cute ways.
She loved her presents and even got a cute coat from Grandma. We got a new movie to watch while mommy is home the next two days, mid winter break, and some coloring pages. Thank you to the family for the great gifts for Addisyn, she sure is blessed with loving aunts and uncles and wonderful grandparents. The girls enjoyed playing with their cousin Cambrey and Easton enjoyed watching Cole.

tunnels, friends, and more

On Saturday after a failed attempt at sledding the girls did not want to come inside. I headed inside with Easton and they stayed outside while J shoveled. The next thing I know is they are yelling at me to come see their tunnels. It brought me back to my days of fort making in my front yard. J had dug out some tunnels for them and made them some slides down the snow bank. They had so much fun and I love watching them enjoy playing outside, playing with their dad, and playing with each other. Addisyn climbing through her tunnel and popping out the top!

Let the party begin!

Lisa Kay would be so proud of me! We are hosting our small group tomorrow at our home for the Super Bowl, 1st party I've been to/hosted since Kylynn was 6 months old. We are all set at the Vugteveen home. GO PACK GO!!! Green and Gold are throughout the home and the girls were excited to help me decorate. As we were decorating Addi kept saying that she loves parties. Should be fun tomorrow as their friend Ellie will be here to play with them.

Snow MUCH Fun

We're all set for the snow! Easton's first sled ride around the yard
